Plant Based Milks

I did a little research into Plant Based Milks...

Oat Milk comparison test:

Using the recipe for my 'usual' hot beverage (which is a Red Velvet-Beetroot and Rose Water extract combo) I examined the difference between Stute, family owned business based in Bristol which makes Oat Milk, Jörd (a brand new Danish brand) and regular old Oatly, which I don't particularly like anymore, since Trump has been rumored to have taken out shares it's company.

The top Grain Based Milk was Stute, which is very creamy and sweet, Jörd has a bit of a bitter aftertaste - so it came last, Oatly has a border line sweetness which is quite palatable so it came second.

The Rebel Kitchen milks I like a lot, they do amazing Shakes and their Semi-Skimmed, Wholemilk options of Coconut milk make the best 'Real' milk alternative when wanting a Creamy textured Oat meal, so I've been using it a lot so far this year.

I've had it stressed by a friend dietitian (in training) that protein is so important for muscle growth and overall health, so perhaps important if you're active, for re-growth...This drink I found in a local health Foods shop and is basically liquid Mint, Choc Chip icecream, it's made with Coconut Cream and Pea Protein.

Whilst on the Subject of icecream, these 'Coconutters' Vanilla Choc Ices are a pretty good treat on the go, the Dark Chocolate Dipped tip lines up with the Cadbury equivalent taste wise and they are Coconut Blossom sweetened, so not a no no.

Dipping Choc ices into the Red Velvet-Beetroot hot beverage is too much of a temptation!
