Faithful Friands #1

Faithful Friands

I have a history of baking when I come in from a chilly afternoon spent outdoors. The warmth of the fire (kitchen oven), warms the cockles of one's heart and gives one an enormously gratifying product at the end of a chilly Autumnal day.

Today was no exception, after spending time with friends by a historic Well in London - Caesr's Well (or Robin Hood well).

The recipe was adapted from a 'Friand' Recipe (a typically French Patisserie) I saw in one of the colour supplements, I just used natural and grain-based malts, milks etc instead.

We have Raspberry Crane's in our back garden so I use these for said recipe throughout the Summer months, and when unavailable I use ones from the Shop.

Please contact me by e-mail for the recipe in weight.

In cups, the Friand Recipe is in the next post.

It can't get any better than 'Friands', Tea, Cake and a roaring fire to have a banter over.

💥Top Sustainabilty Tip, I think that although a lot of the UK is in immurement until December- we still can get take-aways (when you get thirsty out, opt for the option of using a KeepCup and the Barista will kindly place it, lid off, in a plastic container or put your own cup in a large ceramic Mug and fill your KeepCup with your drink of choice)  !
